Food & Health
We connect science, business and governments for the benefit of enabling innovations for a healthy food environment for our growing population. We work together to develop new knowledge and to build greater awareness of the contribution healthy and sustainable food can have on our health and vitality, food security, and self-sufficiency in the European Union.
We stimulate and facilitate
- the production of healthy and sustainable food in a circular model: the ‘New Normal’;
- affordable food with a fair income model for farmers;
- a healthy food environment and knowledge and awareness of healthy nutrition;

Protein innovation
On the way to an innovative and sustainable production and consumption of proteins, we collaborate on the development of new (plant-based) products, the sustainability of animal protein production, and supporting consumers in making the right choices.
We stimulate and facilitate
- the innovative and more sustainable production and consumption of animal proteins;
- the development of new proteins (plant-based, and also, for example, insects), with attention also given to the business model.
